Mission
The Art of Practicing Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping musicians unleash their deepest expressive potential, thereby raising the level of musical performance for the benefit of audiences worldwide. Rooted in the principles of mindfulness, movement, and musicianship presented in the book The Art of Practicing: A Guide to Making Music from the Heart, the institute offers a unique and comprehensive training that helps musicians release physical and mental tension, prevent and recover from practice-related injuries, increase their effectiveness as teachers, reduce their reliance on drugs to combat stage fright, and perform with profound ease, confidence, and communicative power.
